My childhood was great I have so many happy memories of myself and my brothers playing outside our backyard. we had so many toys and games to play with. If we got bored we would make up games. I use to play with this one girl down the street, our favorite thing to play was Barbie dolls. I absolutely loved Barbie dolls.
I was raise buy my granny, my mom, and my aunt. Also by other adults in the neighbor hood. My family yin it takes a village. All three of this ladies made a big influence in my life. My granny taught me to have strength and walk with my head held high, my mom taught me about fashion and how to be a diva. My aunt was the tough on of them all, she stay on me like white on rice. She sees my potential and won't allow me to settle for less. I have no regrets or sorrow about how I was raised. Everyone may not agree with the method used but I am the person I am today because of them.
Brooke, I used to love to play outside when I was younger! We would build forts, play tag, have nightly games with all the neighborhood kids! No one does that anymore. It is sad. I hate when I drive down the street in my neighborhood and I do not see any kids out playing.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as though you had some great strong women in your life that were fantastic role models to you. We all are a product of our upbringing. It sounds as if you developed some great qualities from the women you had in your life growing up. There is nothing wrong with that!
Brooke,

I loved that you guys would always come up with ideas if you were bored. It seems that you were raised by some great ladies. ReplyDeleteI love how you have 3 strong women in your life that have each taken such a wonderful role in making you a part of who you are. Yes, I truly does take a village at times to raise a child, and I think that's where we see how every person can contribute a different gift! Thank you again for sharing!
